Every Tuesday we open the library early from 10 am until noon for a special time for Senior Citizens to enjoy the library.
A fun group of seniors play cards and dominos, check out books,
and laugh a lot.
Join us for a great time each week!
Thursdays are "Time for Tots" at the Library on Thursdays, from 10 am to noon. Led by Linda Hammond, this is a special time for pre-school kids (0-5) and their parents to have stories, crafts and play. This is not a drop-off. Parents can browse the library while kids are engaged in activities, but cannot simply leave them here. It will be good socialization for the kids and maybe some much needed adult conversations for the parents.
On Wednesdays at 10:30 am in June and July, the library is hosting an art club for school-aged kids.
During the months of June and July, the Bement Public Library will be hosting Yoga for Kids (age 3-8) taught by Niki Ridao (Fridays from 9-10 am) and Yoga for Kids (age 9 and up) taught by Tonia Stull (Fridays from 1-2 pm).
Bring your kids in at 10:30 am on June 24 to get up close and personal with animals and learn at the Snake and Turtle Show by the Macon County Conservation District hosted at the library.
On July 8 and 15 the library will be hosting a First Aid and CPR information class for kids. They can even build their own first aid kit!
This summer local teacher Kym Bentley will host a Book Club for Kids on Tuesday mornings from 10:30 to 11:15 am.
Stop by at 11 am July 2 and meet the author and get her new book, "Faith Unshaken" signed by former Bement resident and author, Mary Ann Weakley.
You can reduce your library fines/fees by $1 per item by donating an unexpired nonperishable item to the Bement Food Pantry. We have a collection barrel at the circulation desk.
