Starting in March, the Library is hosting Chair Yoga for adults on Wednesdays at 1 pm. Phone or email us to register. You must have a library card to participate (it's easy--takes just a couple of minutes to sign up).
#TogetherWeRead, a digital book club connecting readers to the same ebook & audiobook at the same time with no waitlists or holds, begins Mar. 1! The featured title is ‘River Woman, River Demon’ by Jennifer Givhan.

Every Tuesday we open the library early from 10 am until noon for a special time for Senior Citizens to enjoy the library.
A fun group of seniors play cards and dominos, check out books,
and laugh a lot.
Join us for a great time each week!
July 19 at 10:30 am we will have a guest speaker talk about what it takes to have a therapy dog and the training needed for both dog and owner. She will give a demo with her dog.
Time for Tots from 11 am to noon.
Thursdays are "Time for Tots" at the Library from 11 am to noon. Led by Linda Hammond, this is a special time for pre-school kids (0-5) and their parents to have stories, crafts and play. This is not a drop-off. Parents can browse the library while kids are engaged in activities, but cannot simply leave them here. It will be good socialization for the kids and maybe some much needed adult conversations for the parents.
You can reduce your library fines/fees by $1 per item by donating an unexpired nonperishable item to the Bement Food Pantry. We have a collection barrel at the circulation desk. All donated items must be received by a staff person to get credit for the donation.
Do NOT leave items in the drop box or at the door.
